Security Officer

Description & Requirements The Security Officer 2 role at Nampa Hospital involves ensuring the safety and security of patients, visitors, staff, and hospital property. What You Can Expect Work location: Nampa Hospital Schedule: Friday, Saturday, Sunday, Monday 4pm-2am nights Responsibilities Make periodic tours of premises, inspect doors, windows, and gates for security. Guard property against damage, fire, theft, trespassing, and illegal entry. Control access to health system facilities. Apply de‑escalation tactics with high‑risk patients or visitors. Assist in restraining physically assaultive patients as directed. Respond to alarms (baby alarms, elopements, codes, fire drills, disasters, lockdowns). Investigate incidents, collect data, report hazards, and maintain incident log. Investigate disturbances and security breaches, liaise with police, and maintain order during emergencies. Compose detailed incident reports. Secure weapons and illicit drugs per policy. Collaborate with care team for examinations of patients on involuntary hold. Screen visitors and issue visitor passes. Monitor parking, enforce regulations, issue citations, and compile reports. Handle moderately complex issues; refer more complex issues to higher‑level staff. Perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications Education: High School Diploma or equivalent. Experience: 2 years relevant experience. License: Valid driver’s license (fleet vehicle). Must not have certain driving related offenses in the past three years.
