The role focuses on motivating students through high standards, AI‑powered learning, and life‑skill workshops. You will spend roughly half the day facilitating workshops and the other half coaching students one‑on‑one or in small groups, using data from Coachbot analytics to drive 100% completion of weekly app objectives. What You Will Be Doing Facilitating one‑hour life‑skills workshops for K‑8 cohorts on subjects such as public speaking, focus, and feedback, and modifying or creating new sessions as needed Conducting daily coaching sessions that push each student to complete all weekly app objectives, leveraging analytics, incentive structures, and individual relationships Delivering the Test2Pass mastery evaluation for each life skill and working with students who do not yet pass until mastery is achieved Adjusting your approach across a broad age range, from high‑energy kindergarteners to more reflective eighth graders Maintaining expectations and earning students’ trust through warmth and challenge, thereby proving belief in their potential What You Will Not Be Doing Delivering lessons at a whiteboard; instruction is embedded in the applications Developing new curriculum from scratch; you animate an established playbook Passively monitoring students at workstations; motivation is direct, individualized, and persistent Reducing a weekly objective to help a student meet it; the solution is to support the student, not lower the target Scoring assignments, conducting standardized test preparation, or handling parent outreach; these tasks are managed by Campus Leads Key Responsibilities Ensure every student in your K‑8 cohort completes weekly learning objectives, achieves mastery in each life skill, and reports that they loved you. Basic Requirements Ability to work on‑site at any of the listed Alpha campuses; relocation assistance provided Bachelor’s degree in any discipline Minimum three years of direct experience working with K‑8 students (e.g., classroom instruction, coaching, tutoring, camp counseling, youth program management) A concrete example that demonstrates motivating a K‑8 student toward a challenging goal, including the objective, your actions, and the result Comfort allowing AI to deliver instructional content while you focus on motivation and life‑skills development Regular use of generative AI tools such as ChatGPT, Gemini, or Claude Authorization to work in the US without requiring visa sponsorship (or in Canada for the Toronto campus) Nice‑to‑Have Requirements Background in youth sports coaching, debate, camp leadership, theater, or after‑school programming with responsibility for motivating children toward measurable goals History of personal high achievement, indicating that rigorous standards are intrinsic Storytelling ability and stage presence to engage a group of 12‑year‑olds for an hour without raising your voice Demonstrated success in converting disengaged or reluctant students into engaged contributors About Alpha Alpha reimagines the school day around faster learning, stronger mentorship, and more time for students to build real‑world skills.
