Java Developer

Lead Java DeveloperOur client seeks a Lead Java Developer to build and enhance backend services for a business application. The role will focus on Java and Spring Boot services running on AWS with components such as Lambda and Fargate. The work will include creating programs that influence business processes, integrating AI tooling where appropriate, and collaborating in a hybrid environment across McLean, VA and Plano, TX teams.Due to client requirements, applicants must be willing and able to work on a W2 basis. For our W2 consultants, we offer a great benefits package that includes Medical, Dental, and Vision benefits, 401k with company matching, and life insurance.Rate: $85.00 to $90.00/hr. W2Responsibilities:Design, develop, and maintain backend Java services using Spring Boot.Build and operate AWS workloads leveraging services such as Lambda and Fargate.Develop business application features that influence and automate business processes.Collaborate with cross-functional teams in a hybrid model across McLean, VA and Plano, TX.Incorporate AI tooling where suitable to improve developer productivity and solution capability.Ensure code quality, observability, and reliability through testing and best practices.Experience Requirements:Strong backend Java development with Spring Boot.Hands-on experience with AWS, including Lambda and container orchestration such as Fargate.Background building business applications and process-driven services.Experience with AI tooling in the software development lifecycle.Full stack experience acceptable with emphasis on backend services.Skills, experience, and other compensable factors will be considered when determining pay rate. The pay range provided in this posting reflects a W2 hourly rate; other employment options may be available that may result in pay outside of the provided range.
