Seeking a detail-oriented Patient Access Specialist to serve as the first point of contact for patients by performing registration, pre-registration, insurance verification, financial counseling, and eligibility screening. The Patient Access Specialist ensures accurate patient information, secures upfront collections, assists uninsured patients with financial assistance programs, and provides exceptional customer service while maintaining compliance with hospital policies and HIPAA regulations. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced healthcare environment and possesses excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Minimum 1 year of experience in a high-volume healthcare facility or medical office required
• Strong customer service and computer skills required
• Insurance verification and medical billing knowledge required
• Medical terminology knowledge strongly preferred
• Strong typing skills (45+ WPM) required
• Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and navigating multiple computer systems required
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced healthcare environment
• Strong verbal and written communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills
• Valid driver's license and ability to travel to off-site locations if required
• Bilingual Spanish or Mandarin preferred
