Benefits/Leave Specialist (3-Month Contract)

Known for their vibrant corporate culture, creative innovation, and fast-paced environment, they design and market immensely popular brands loved by millions worldwide. They are seeking an efficient, self-motivated Benefits & Leave Specialist to join their human resources team for an immediate 3-month contract assignment to support their dynamic workforce. Position Overview: As the Benefits & Leave Specialist, you will act as the primary point of contact for employees, managers, and third-party vendors regarding all leave of absence and workplace accommodation requests. You will be responsible for administering these programs in strict compliance with company policy as well as federal, state, and local regulations, ensuring a consistent, confidential, and employee-focused process. The ideal candidate is a proactive communicator who can seamlessly manage multi-state casework, maintain meticulous tracking systems, and ensure high-touch employee support. How to apply? - Experience: Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience specializing in leave administration and disability programs.
- Previous practical knowledge of FMLA, ADA, and state-specific leave laws.
- Multi-State Expertise: Must have direct experience managing all types of employee leaves of absence across a multi-state environment. Experience supporting employees or operations in California is highly preferred.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook) and/or Google Suite (Docs, Forms, Calendar, Gmail); experience utilizing UKG is highly preferred.
- Vendor Management: Proven experience collaborating with third-party leave administration vendors.
- Highly effective presentation and communication skills, with a strict commitment to maintaining total confidentiality.

- Administer and coordinate end-to-end leave of absence and workplace accommodation programs in alignment with FMLA, ADA, and company policies.
- Research, respond to, and document frequently asked questions regarding leaves. Assign priorities to incoming calls or emails based on urgency and escalate major legal issues to management when necessary.
- Enter and update leave data in designated HR systems, databases, and spreadsheets. Manage all case paperwork, including compiling, sorting, filing, scanning, and faxing documentation.
- Obtain, verify, and track authentication/medical certifications from healthcare providers, proactively requesting clarification on required information as needed.
- Act as the main bridge to the company's third-party leave administration vendors, monitoring notifications and ensuring accountability.
