Truck Driver CDL A Regional

Position Overview Ryder is hiring a Class A CDL Truck Driver in Worcester, MA. This role offers weekly pay, excellent benefits, and a driving career you can feel good about. Salary & Benefits Weekly pay starting at $2,000 or more Hourly pay $29.00 per hour 40+ hours per week with overtime after 40 hours Earn extra $1 per hour for every 3 endorsements/certifications $50 per diem per night Monday–Friday schedule (home time stability) $1,000 annual tenure bonus Benefits include: Medical, Dental & Vision after 30 days 80 hours PTO in the first year, starting Day 1 (use it or get paid for it) Uniforms, cell phone & boot allowance provided 401(k) rollover available now with company match at 1 year 12 weeks paid maternity leave (subject to eligibility criteria) Employee discounts on tools, vehicles, travel, tech & more Responsibilities Ensure compliance with applicable federal and/or state laws, regulations, and/or agency rules, standards, and guidelines Detect and eliminate or minimize safety hazards and maintain accurate records and logs Load/Unload freight or assist in the loading/unloading of freight as required by customer Perform other duties as assigned Requirements Minimum 21 years of age Pass a Ryder drug test Pass a Ryder background and motor vehicle check including drug and alcohol verification from previous employers for the last 3 years Pass a DOT physical Pass a Ryder road test Provide appropriate CDL and endorsements for the position Must have Class A verifiable experience in a tractor trailer or comparable vehicle: 9 months experience within the past 3 years, or 2 years’ experience within the last 5 years, or 5 years’ experience within the last 10 years Authority to load/unload freight Ability to follow written and/or oral instructions Ability to read, interpret and apply laws, rules, regulations, policies and/or procedures Other Details Regional solo routes in New England States and East Coast Paid travel + hotel or sleeper provided for overnights Tractor type: Day Cabs and Sleepers – possibility of 26' straight truck Trailer types: 48'–53' flatbeds, dry vans, reefers, conestogas, curtainsides and container Freight mix: touch & no-touch Equipment provided: pallet jack, lift gate, rollers or moffett 1 year of flatbed experience Hazmat, tanker & doubles/triples endorsements required Experience with strapping, chaining & tarping Vehicle and Company Support Trucks are 36 months or newer with 24/7 roadside maintenance and fueling at over 800 nationwide maintenance locations Drivers are the captain – you make safety decisions, and your job is protected Hiring Information Ryder is proud to be an Equal Opportunity Employer and a drug-free workplace.
