TNAA TotalMed RN is seeking a travel nurse RN Telemetry for a travel nursing job in Marion, Illinois.

UNIT: Neuro MS/TELE RN
MGR INTERVIEW

Required Certs: Must have current active IL RN license. (AHA) BLS, (AHA) ACLS and NIHSS.

Minimum Experience REQUIRED: Two years of strong Med Surg/TELE, 1 travel assignment. Neuro experience required

Charting Experience: Recent EPIC experience required.
Patient Population: Neuro and Neuro-Surgical patients – CVAs, elective back/neck surgeries, cerebral angiogram. General medical

NO LOCAL CANIDATES (40 MILE RADIUS RULE)

Skillset: Will also need to be comfortable taking medical overflow patients.
NIHSS/dysphagia screen/strong Neuro assessments, basic tele interpretation, strict I's & O's/straight cath/Foleys, intitate/titrate heparin gtts., blood/blood product administration/venipuncture/blood cultures, NG tubes, indwelling drain management, stable gtts. (i.e. Protonix, Lasic, etc.). Must have strong assessment and critical thinking skills!

Unit Information: 8 beds. Ratio: 1:4 | Charge nurse will have patient assignment
Additional Unit Information: New unit, initially will be a mixed unit with Neuro and Medical overflow. Construction being done on the second floor to accommodate a 22 bed neuro unit.
