Technology Support Specialist Job ID: 5793904 Starting Date: Immediately Term of Employment: Full‑Time, Non‑Exempt Salary: $29.11 to $33.58 Per Hour Location: Marion Cross Elementary School, Norwich, Vermont (School Administrative Unit 70) Job Description Marion Cross Elementary School seeks a dedicated Technology Support Specialist to deliver comprehensive on‑site technical assistance and systems administration for the Hanover, Dresden, and Norwich school districts. The successful candidate will join a dynamic team of school‑based technicians, serving as the primary liaison between the technology department and building staff, providing robust Tier2 support, managing the full lifecycle of hardware, and handling service requests and asset tracking through IncidentIQ. The role requires MDM platform expertise, network troubleshooting skills, and the ability to train end users and produce self‑serve documentation. Key Responsibilities Provide timely end‑user support for computers, A/V equipment, networks, and printing systems. Instruct users with varying technical skill levels and develop user‑facing documentation. Offer occasional after‑hours A/V and computing support for public events and board meetings. Manage hardware lifecycle: purchasing, provisioning, maintenance, repair, and recycling. Administer Mobile Device Management (MDM) systems (e.g., GoogleAdmin, Mosyle) to deploy and maintain devices across macOS, iOS, ChromeOS, and occasionally Linux and Windows. Maintain Chromebook fleets and assign student and staff account roles and permissions. Monitor infrastructure to ensure system reliability, performance, and security. Safely organize and maintain tech department facilities and workspaces. Maintain ticketing system, providing consistent status updates to users via phone, email, and digital channels. Ensure compliance with all SAU 70 district policies, procedures, and safety objectives. Perform other duties as assigned. Minimum Qualifications Associate’s degree preferred. 3–5years of relevant experience. Experience with IncidentIQ or similar K‑12 ticketing platforms. Proficiency with macOS and ChromeOS; familiarity with iOS, Linux, and Windows. Experience managing MDM systems (GoogleAdmin, Mosyle) and general device management. Basic networking troubleshooting skills; familiarity with Cisco, wireless APs, FortiGate/Fortinet, and VoIP systems. Familiarity with interactive boards, projectors, 3D printers, and Web2.0 tools. Knowledge of Active Directory, backup/restore technologies, and website content management. Professional Competencies Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills. Self‑starter who adapts to a fast‑paced, competing‑priority environment. Strict adherence to confidentiality protocols. Licensure & Certification Requirements None required.
