Job Title: Picker and Packer Job Description

This role focuses on accurately picking, packing, and preparing products for shipment in a manufacturing and warehouse environment. You will handle labeling, boxing, palletizing, and filling containers with manufactured lubricants while following strict safety, quality, and Good Manufacturing Practices standards. The position requires reliability, attention to detail, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.

• Label products and packages clearly and accurately.
• Assemble and tape boxes to prepare them for packing.
• Place items into boxes according to order and packing instructions.
• Lift and move boxes weighing up to 40 lbs safely and efficiently.
• Palettize orders by stacking and securing boxes on pallets for shipment.
• Fill containers of various sizes with lubricants produced on-site.
• Seal jars using a Handheld Induction Sealer in accordance with procedures.
• Follow production work orders and batch sheets to ensure accurate product manufacturing when assigned.
• Accurately weigh and measure ingredients according to production specifications when required.
• Move pallets of materials and finished products to designated areas using pallet jacks and other material handling equipment.
• Follow all safety, quality control, and Good Manufacturing Practices standards at all times.
• Keep warehouse and production areas clean, organized, and free of hazards.
• Collaborate with team members and support a smooth production and shipping workflow.
• Work independently when needed to complete assigned tasks on time.

• Experience working in a factory or warehouse environment.
• Ability to lift and move boxes up to 40 lbs safely.
• Ability to read and write and perform basic math.
• Comfort working in a manufacturing and warehouse setting.
• Ability to follow safety, quality control, and Good Manufacturing Practices standards.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Reliability and consistent attendance.
• Access to a car for dependable transportation.

• Experience with picking, packing, and order picking in a warehouse environment.
• Experience labeling products and packaging.
• Experience assembling and taping boxes for shipping.
• Experience palletizing orders and handling pallets.
• Experience sealing containers using a Handheld Induction Sealer or similar equipment.
• Experience filling containers with liquid or semi-liquid products.
• Experience using pallet jacks and other material handling equipment.
• Familiarity with production work orders and batch sheets.
• Familiarity with weighing and measuring ingredients for production.

You will join a stable operation with consistent weekday hours, allowing you to maintain a predictable routine and work-life balance. This role is based in a manufacturing and warehouse environment focused on producing and packaging lubricants. You will work with boxes, pallets, containers, and material handling equipment such as pallet jacks, as well as tools like a Handheld Induction Sealer. The shift runs from 7:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., Monday through Friday, providing a consistent daytime schedule. The facility emphasizes cleanliness, organization, and adherence to safety and Good Manufacturing Practices standards, and you should expect to be on your feet, lifting, moving, and working around production and warehouse equipment throughout the day.

This is a Contract position based out of Bellport, NY.

The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $19.00/hr.
