Entry-Level Animal Research Technician

• Provide daily care and husbandry for research animals, including feeding, monitoring, and maintaining clean living environments.
• Follow established animal care and breeding procedures to support research programs.
• Observe and document animal health, behavior, and physical characteristics with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
• Assist in maintaining biosecurity and quality standards within the facility.
• Use tablet-based systems to record data and track animal information.
• Collaborate with internal teams to ensure research and customer needs are met.

• Hands-on experience in a regulated research environment.
• Exposure to animal research, breeding programs, and laboratory operations.
• Training on industry procedures, compliance standards, and animal care practices.
• Opportunities to develop transferable skills including documentation, problem-solving, teamwork, and attention to detail.
• A strong foundation for future careers in biotechnology, pharmaceutical research, animal sciences, veterinary medicine, and laboratory operations.

• Bachelor's degree in Biology, Animal Science, Biotechnology, or another Life Science field preferred.
• Recent graduates are encouraged to apply.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow procedures.
• Reliable, punctual, and motivated to learn.
• Comfortable working on your feet, climbing stairs, and performing repetitive tasks as part of daily responsibilities.
• Basic comfort using technology, including tablet computers.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Wilmington, MA.

The pay range for this position is $21.25 - $21.25/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
