Job Title: Operating Room Registered Nurse Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Operating Room Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 8 hours (07:00 - 15:00) Experience: Minimum 2 years preferred; will consider 1 year on case by case basis License: Pending license accepted; must obtain prior to starting Certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS Must-Have: Recent experience with Epic preferred Ability to complete the cardiac dysrhythmia test and moderate sedation test during orientation Description: Position requires an Operating Room Registered Nurse. No request time off (RTO) or limited RTO will be accepted after initial submission. Shift is Monday through Friday from 07:00 to 15:00. Nurse must be available for 1-2 late stays per week to complete cases. No on-call duties are required. Daily patient load is approximately 5-7 patients. Charge experience is preferred but not mandatory. Nurse will not be required to float to other units. Must be comfortable with a variety of surgical procedures including general surgery, gynecology, orthopedics, and endoscopy. The nurse will be providing care for adolescents, adults, pediatrics, and geriatric patients. Nurse will be expected to adhere to attendance policy; exceeding two missed shifts may result in contract review. Compliance documents must be submitted five business days prior to the scheduled start date. Recent epic experience in charting system preferred but not required for submission. The ability to perform required skills and handle various surgical procedures is essential. This role will provide exposure to interdisciplinary support including physical therapy and pharmacy. General OR experience is necessary for handling different types of surgery. Unit will handle minor vascular, general GYN, orthopedics, and endoscopic procedures.
