Job Opening: Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN), Pediatric Home Patients
Location: Ellenwood, GA, Stockbridge, GA Pay: $30 to $33 per hour Employment Type: Part-Time, approximately 20 hours per week
Company Overview
Our client is seeking a compassionate and dependable Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to support pediatric patients in a home care setting. This role focuses on delivering high-quality, family-centered care to children in the comfort and safety of their own homes.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct nursing care to pediatric patients under the supervision of an RN or physician
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed
- Monitor patient conditions, vital signs, and responses to care
- Assist with medical equipment and ensure safe usage in the home
- Follow individualized care plans and report changes in patient status
- Educate families on daily care routines, medications, and safety practices
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation in electronic health record systems
- Create a supportive, calm, and nurturing environment for pediatric patients
- Adhere to all state regulations, agency policies, and healthcare standards
Qualifications
- Active LPN license in the state of Georgia, required
- At least one year of pediatric or home health experience preferred
- Strong clinical and observational skills
- Ability to communicate effectively with children, families, and care teams
- Current CPR certification required
- Experience in home health or private duty nursing is a plus
- Comfortable using electronic documentation systems
