Cloud Engineer - Enterprise Data Security (Remote - US)

Overview We’re looking for a Cloud Engineer - Enterprise Data Security in the United States. This fully remote role offers the opportunity to strengthen enterprise data security across cloud and on-premises environments, implementing, managing, and optimizing data loss prevention (DLP) solutions and data security platforms to protect sensitive information. Responsibilities Architect, implement, and manage enterprise‑grade DLP solutions to safeguard sensitive data. Support data discovery, classification, and mapping across systems to ensure regulatory compliance. Maintain and optimize data privacy platforms for DSAR workflows, opt‑outs, cookie/GPC compliance, and enterprise integrations. Collaborate with IT, Security, GRC, and business teams to define data protection strategies and remediate compliance gaps. Serve as the escalation point for high‑severity data security issues and inquiries. Analyze and investigate alerts from DLP and related security systems, providing actionable insights to executive partners. Develop and maintain incident response playbooks, policies, sensitivity labels, and DLP rule sets across platforms. Mentor, train, and provide guidance to junior associates on data security practices and technologies. Monitor system performance, optimize workflows, and ensure seamless integration of security platforms. Maintain strong vendor relationships and stay current with emerging trends, tools, and best practices in enterprise data security. Requirements Minimum of 3 years of experience in data security, privacy, or DLP‑focused roles. BA/BS degree preferred in a relevant field. Hands‑on experience with data privacy platforms (e.g., Securiti, BigID, OneTrust). Proficiency with Microsoft Purview DLP, Azure Information Protection, and Microsoft Defender for Cloud Apps. Experience with cloud computing platforms such as AWS, Azure, Oracle Cloud, or GCP. Familiarity with scripting and automation using PowerShell, Python, or similar tools. Strong proficiency with Office 365 applications, including Outlook, Teams, Excel, PowerPoint, and Word. Excellent problem‑solving, organizational, and communication skills. Experience mentoring and upskilling junior team members. Ability to manage multiple priorities, work independently, and collaborate across functions.
