Full Time Maintenance Technician

Maintenance TechnicianThe Maintenance Technician is responsible for the proper maintenance of all rides, pools, infrastructure, equipment, water quality, and general maintenance at Hurricane Harbor Arlington.Reports To: Manager of MaintenanceKey Duties & Responsibilities:Oversee the operational functions related to water quality including filtration, circulation, and chemical systemsPerform daily inspection of facility equipment, physical plant, and conduct pre-opening and closing procedures for all water rides.Responds to maintenance related calls during park operation and ensure pH levels and sanitation standards are within standard and properly documentedAssists in the maintenance and overhaul of the rides including repair and replacement of equipmentAdhere to all department and company safety policiesMust be able to work extended hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, in outdoor environments and varying weather conditions, including prolonged exposure to heat and sun.All other duties as assignedQualifications:The ideal candidate must possess:At least 3 years of maintenance experience, preferably in either a waterpark or a theme parkA varied skill set including a general knowledge of mechanical, plumbing, and carpentryExperience in performing minor electrical repairs and maintenance preferredThe ability to work varied shifts, including evenings and weekendsThe ability to physically climb stairs and ladders to the top of ride towers and structures, able to lift up to 50 pounds, to stand for extended periods of time, and to walk the park on a continual basis. Should not have a fear of heightsSelf-motivation and the ability to perform tasks with minimal supervisionBasic computer skillsCertification as either an Aquatic Facility Operator (AFO) or as a Certified Pool Operator (CPO) or must obtain such within 6 monthsA valid driver's license and have a clean driving record
