Physician - Cardiovascular and Thoracic Surgery - Vascular Surgery - Chicago

Location: Chicago, Illinois Business Unit: Rush Medical Group Hospital: Rush University Medical Center Department: CVT Surgery, Vascular Vascular Surgeon – Clinical Faculty Rush Heart & Vascular, part of the Rush University System for Health network of hospitals, is seeking a Vascular Surgeon to join our growing practice in downtown Chicago. Practice Overview Rush Heart & Vascular’s downtown Chicago practice is based at Rush University Medical Center, a nationally recognized clinical and academic institution and the teaching hospital for Rush Medical and Nursing Colleges. Clinical Responsibilities Coverage at Rush University Medical Center, Rush Oak Park Hospital, Rush Copley Medical Center, Rush North & Harlem Outpatient Center, and Franciscan Health in Northwest Indiana. Collaborate with a team of six vascular surgeons and four advanced practice providers, and a multidisciplinary group at Rush Copley Medical Center. Deliver comprehensive vascular care within a fully integrated academic and clinical environment, encompassing both inpatient and outpatient settings. Perform the full spectrum of vascular procedures in a new state‑of‑the‑art hybrid operating room, including complex aortic surgery, while actively engaging in teaching and other academic activities. Qualifications MD, DO, MD/PhD, DO/PhD, or equivalent degree. Academic credentials appropriate for appointment at the Associate Professor or Professor level. Minimum of five (5) years of post‑training experience in vascular surgery. Completion of an ACGME‑accredited vascular surgery fellowship. Board certified in Vascular Surgery by the American Board of Surgery (ABS). Illinois medical license preferred or eligibility for licensure. Demonstrated commitment to clinical excellence, strong communication skills, and collaborative, team‑based care. Compensation Rush offers competitive total compensation that includes base pay, benefits, and other incentive programs. The total pay range for a full‑time, 1.0 FTE employee is $507,400 - $695,550, which may include sign‑on and retention bonuses, relocation allowances, and opportunities for increased compensation based on exceeding productivity targets.
