HVAC Controls Technician

The BAS Controls Technician II position for Building Automation Systems (BAS) is responsible for the installation, programming, and service of commercial digital control systems while maintaining quality and profitability. The role provides technician support for BAS, maintenance agreements, system upgrades, and controls-related service requests. Location: Bowie, MD / Baltimore, MD / Washington DC / Alexandria, VA. The range displayed represents the pay range for all positions in the job grade which this position falls. Individual base pay will depend on a wide range of factors including your skills, qualifications, experience, and location. Minimum Qualifications High School Diploma or GED 3+ years of related experience with increasing responsibility Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record Ability to lift 50 lbs with or without an accommodation Required license(s) and/or training card as required by local law Preferred Qualifications Experience in BAS, HVAC, or related industry Proficiency with test instruments and calibration tools Competency in operation of engineering/commissioning tools, DDC controllers and field devices, BACnet protocol fundamentals Competency in the operation of HVAC equipment and controls Ability to understand written sequences of operation Ability to read low voltage wiring diagrams and controls flow diagrams Niagara AX and/or Niagara 4 certification Experience with common integration protocols such as BACnet MST/IP, LON, Modbus TCP/RTU, Ethernet OIP, MQTT, or SQL Strong computer skills, including networking fundamentals Good verbal and written communication skills Customer-focused, results-oriented professional and strong team player Motivated self-starter with initiative Ability to manage multiple priorities and stay organized Current first aid / CPR card #J-18808-Ljbffr
