You're an experienced carpenter who enjoys more than just the craft. You like keeping projects organized, solving problems before they happen, and building strong relationships with homeowners and your team.

At Custom Craft, we're looking for a Lead Carpenter who combines exceptional craftsmanship with leadership. You'll remain hands-on in the field while taking ownership of project coordination, communication, and daily jobsite execution to ensure every remodel exceeds expectations.

What You'll Do

• Lead day-to-day operations on residential remodeling projects.
• Perform skilled carpentry throughout all phases of construction.
• Coordinate work with subcontractors and trade partners.
• Communicate professionally with homeowners and provide project updates.
• Use construction management software to document progress and daily activities.
• Read and interpret blueprints and construction documents.
• Help maintain project schedules, quality standards, and jobsite safety.
• Mentor less experienced carpenters.
• Keep jobsites clean, organized, and respectful of clients' homes.
• Identify field challenges and work with the team to develop practical solutions.

What We're Looking For

• 5+ years of residential remodeling or custom home construction experience.
• Proven experience leading projects or coordinating field crews.
• Strong carpentry skills including framing, finish work, trim, cabinetry, and remodeling.
• Comfortable using construction management software and digital tools.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• Ability to read blueprints and construction documents.
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
• Professional carpentry tools.
