These recognitions highlight LVHN's commitment to teamwork, compassion, and technology with an unrelenting focus on delivering the best healthcare possible every day.Whether you're considering your next career move or your first, you should consider Lehigh Valley Health Network. **Summary** Teaches and supervises nursing students in the classroom and/or clinical settings and contributes to the professional development of nursing students. **Job Duties*** Creates an environment in the classroom, laboratory, and/or clinical settings that facilitates student learning and achievement of desired knowledge, skills, and attitudes.* Assists students to develop as nurses and integrate the values and behaviors expected of those who fulfill that role.* Implements effective clinical and assessment evaluation strategies appropriate to the learning outcomes of the course.* Applies clinical expertise in the healthcare environment.* Operationalizes the curriculum in order to prepare graduates to function effectively in the healthcare environment.* Demonstrates effective interpersonal communication and collaborative inter-professional relationships. **Minimum Qualifications*** Bachelor’s Degree Nursing and* Master’s Degree Nursing (or actively enrolled) in ACEN/NLNAC or CCNE accredited program.* 3 years Teaching in a classroom or clinical setting.* Demonstrates integrity, stability, imagination, and discriminative judgment in instruction of nursing students.* Proficient working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.* Demonstrates interest and respect for students.* Demonstrates commitment to life-long learning.* Demonstrates respect, collegiality, professionalism, and caring in relations with administration, staff, colleagues, and students.* Knowledge of FERPA.* RN - Licensed Registered Nurse\\_PA - State of Pennsylvania Upon Hire **Preferred Qualifications*** Master’s Degree or* Doctorate* CNE - Certified Nurse Educator NLN - State of Pennsylvania within 180 Days **Physical Demands** Lift and carry 40-50 lbs. Examples: Push/pull patients on bed, stretcher (requires 29 lbs. push force), lateral transfers up to 50 lbs. of the patient's weight. Frequent to continuous standing/walking. Patient transporters can walk 8-10 miles per shift. \\*Patient care providers may be required to perform activities specific to their role including kneeling, bending, squatting and performing CPR.
