Data Center Manager (Night), DCC Communities

Salary: $180,000 - 225,000 per year Requirements:

• We want someone with 4+ years of information technology experience, or a bachelors degree in computer science, engineering, mathematics, or an equivalent field.
• We need at least 2+ years of people management experience.
• We require 2+ years of operations and on-call support experience in data center facilities, mission-critical plants, or production environments.
• We prefer candidates with 2+ years of computer hardware experience, including troubleshooting and repair.
• We value experience in technical writing within a relevant field.
• We favor certifications in applicable areas such as A+, Net+, Sec+, CCNA, LPIC, Linux+, AWS certifications, or CND/Network+/Security+.
• We look for experience with system management tools and client/server environments.
• We need the ability to travel to or commute between data center locations as required.
• We need willingness to temporarily work at alternate sites during training or until the assigned facility is operational.
• Travel may be required based on business needs and the operational status of the site.
• Candidates must be able to travel over 50 miles or commute less than 50 miles to active data center sites as needed.

• We lead a team that supports cloud infrastructure for global data center operations.
• We prioritize and allocate trouble tickets to data center technicians and operators.
• We manage the performance of diverse data center operations teams across different locations.
• We develop employee career paths and update internal tools accordingly.
• We recruit and train data technicians to maintain proper staffing levels.
• We oversee day-to-day data center operations, including queue management, 7/24 shift planning, and hardware logistics.
• We rapidly build subject matter expertise across all areas of data center operations.
• We ensure operational KPIs and metrics are measured and achieved.
• We drive process improvement, technology innovation, and automation across the team.
• We manage large-scale events and outages and act as the call leader.
• We improve workflows and throughput for data center operations.
• We recommend, document, and maintain policies and procedures aligned with industry best practices and SLAs.
• We maintain the on-call schedule, including coverage for absences and vacations.
• We continuously improve the quality and quantity of services we provide and enhance the customer experience.
