Job Summary and Responsibilities

As our Gastroenterologist, you will join Dignity Health Medical Group - Sierra Nevada, a multi-specialty medical group aligned with Dignity Health. You will play a pivotal role in a well-respected and long-standing gastroenterology practice located in the beautiful Sierra Nevada Foothills of Grass Valley, CA. This is an excellent opportunity to collaborate with three experienced physicians in a group that has been serving the community for over 25 years.

 

You will provide expert clinical care within a collegial, family-like environment, serving a busy GI Clinic and Endoscopy Center that receives over 600 referrals per month. Your practice will involve shared call (1:4) with 24/7 anesthesia availability, offering a flexible schedule with ample opportunity for work-life balance. Sierra Nevada Memorial Hospital, a CMS 5-star rated facility with a Leapfrog 'A' safety grade and Top Rural Hospital designation for 2023 & 2024, provides coverage. ERCP skills are optional, and you will contribute to serving a catchment population of over 100,000, attracting patients from surrounding towns like Auburn, Roseville, Truckee, and Yuba City.

 

To be successful in this role, you will be a Board Certified/Board Eligible Gastroenterologist with a passion for delivering high-quality digestive care, strong clinical skills, and a commitment to working within a collaborative practice in a vibrant community known for its outdoor recreation and excellent lifestyle opportunities.

 

Responsibilities:

• Provide comprehensive gastroenterological care in a busy clinic and endoscopy center.
• Participate in a shared call schedule (1:4) with anesthesia support.
• Collaborate effectively with experienced colleagues within the practice.
• Contribute to the continued success and reputation of a well-established group.

We are offering the following incentives to eligible new hires:

• Excellent income potential with a Salary Guarantee of $655,000 per year, plus call pay and productivity incentive.
• Signing Incentive up to $40,000.
• Relocation Incentive up to $20,000.
• Student Loan Repayment Incentive Available, and a PSLF-Eligible employer!
• 8 weeks of time off per year, plus CME reimbursement and paid malpractice.
• Robust benefits package including group-paid medical and dental insurance options (with HSA contribution) and a significant company 401k match/contribution of up to 11% of salary.

Job Requirements

Required:

• Active and eligible medical license in the state of California
• Board eligible or board certified in specified area of medical specialty (ABMS or AOA)
• Completion of an accredited post-graduate training program
• Excellent communication, interpersonal and problem-solving skills
