CNC Machine Shop Operator
As a CNC Machine Shop Operator, you'll be responsible for setting up, operating and monitoring CNC machines used to manufacture precision metal parts. This is a hands-on role for someone who enjoys producing top-quality work from start to finish.
Essential Duties And Responsibilities
- Operate CNC mills, lathes, and other machining equipment.
- Load raw materials and unload finished parts.
- Read blueprints, drawings, and work instructions.
- Measure and inspect parts using precision tools (calipers, micrometers, gauges).
- Monitor machine performance and make basic adjustments as needed.
- Maintain quality standards and production quotas.
- Follow safety procedures and keep the work area clean.
- Perform routine machine maintenance and report equipment issues.
- Troubleshoots problems.
Bonus Points If You Have
- Education and experience in related field
- Sheet metal fabrication background
- Experience with tight tolerances and high-mix/low-volume work
