Nationally recognized Bankruptcy & Creditors’ Rights practice seeking attorney with portable book in Chicago Job Details We are seeking a seasoned Bankruptcy Attorney to join our dynamic legal team. The successful candidate will be a seasoned professional with a strong background in business litigation, bankruptcy, advising lenders and other stakeholders, commercial finance, real estate, and litigation. The ideal candidate must have been admitted to the Illinois bar and have a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience. This role offers an exciting opportunity to apply your legal expertise in a challenging and rewarding environment. Responsibilities Provide legal advice and representation to clients in bankruptcy cases, business litigation, and real estate matters. Advise lenders and other stakeholders on legal matters related to bankruptcy and commercial finance. Represent clients in court proceedings, mediations, and negotiations. Draft, review, and negotiate legal documents, including pleadings, motions, and agreements. Conduct thorough legal research and analysis to support case preparation and strategy development. Collaborate with other attorneys, paralegals, and support staff to ensure the delivery of high-quality legal services. Stay updated with the latest legal and industry trends, regulations, and court decisions related to bankruptcy, business litigation, and commercial finance. Participate in business development activities to build and maintain client relationships. Qualifications Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school. Admission to the Illinois bar. A minimum of 5 years of experience in business litigation, bankruptcy, advising lenders and other stakeholders, commercial finance, real estate, and litigation. Proven track record of representing clients in complex bankruptcy cases and business litigation. Strong knowledge of federal and state bankruptcy laws, commercial finance regulations, and real estate laws. Excellent negotiation, advocacy, and problem‑solving skills. High-level written and oral communication skills, with the ability to explain complex legal concepts to clients and other stakeholders. Ability to work independently and as part of a team, manage multiple priorities, and meet deadlines in a fast‑paced environment. Strong commitment to professional development and continuous learning.
