About the Position

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Hospice Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 8 hours (08:00 - 17:00) Experience: Minimum 1 full year Adult Home Health Experience or 1 full year Hospice Experience, depending on the specialty. License: Valid nursing license required. Certifications: CPR, BLS Must-Have: - Proficient in OASIS and HomeCare HomeBase EMR. - Must have reliable transportation, a current driver’s license, and agency-required liability insurance. - Must be comfortable with driving up to 75 miles from the assigned care center. Description: The Registered Nurse coordinates and directs the provision of home nursing care according to physician orders. Care is provided based on agency policies and procedures through the competent application of the nursing process. This role includes direct supervision and evaluation of Home Health Aides and Licensed Practical Nurses/Licensed Vocational Nurses. The RN will perform home visits and attend periodic office meetings. An average of 5-10 patients will be assigned per day. Daily patient visits are expected to equate to a productivity point system. Types of cases may include Start of Care, Wound Care, and Follow-up Visits. Documentation must be completed within 24 hours of the patient appointment. There are no guaranteed hours associated with this contract. Travel between patient homes is required, and the RN must accept all patients scheduled. Failure to meet documentation deadlines or patient acceptance may result in cancellation of the assignment.
