Position Overview

Country Inn Enhanced Living Center is seeking a dependable, friendly, and team-oriented Dietary Aide to support daily food service operations in our assisted living community in rural Paulding County.

The Dietary Aide helps ensure residents receive nutritious meals in a clean, welcoming, and comfortable dining environment. Working alongside the Dietary Cook, Dietary Manager, and other facility staff, this position assists with meal preparation, serving meals, cleaning, and maintaining kitchen sanitation standards.

The ideal candidate enjoys helping others, takes pride in keeping things clean and organized, and understands the importance of providing residents with a positive dining experience.

Responsibilities

• Assist with preparing and serving breakfast, lunch, dinner, and snacks.
• Set up dining areas, prepare tables, and ensure meals are ready for scheduled service times.
• Deliver meals to residents and assist with dining service as needed.
• Follow instructions regarding resident meal preferences, portion sizes, and special dietary requirements.
• Assist with basic food preparation, including washing, cutting, and organizing ingredients.
• Wash dishes, utensils, cookware, and other kitchen equipment.
• Clean and sanitize kitchen surfaces, dining areas, food preparation stations, and equipment.
• Follow proper food handling, storage, sanitation, and safety procedures.
• Restock food service supplies and maintain an organized kitchen and dining area.
• Work collaboratively with dietary staff to ensure efficient meal service.
• Interact with residents in a courteous, patient, and respectful manner.
• Follow facility policies and procedures while helping maintain a safe and comfortable environment for residents.

Required Qualifications

• Ability to follow instructions and established food safety procedures.
• Dependable attendance and a strong work ethic.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
• Strong attention to cleanliness, organization, and detail.
• Friendly and respectful approach when interacting with residents.
• Ability to perform the physical duties associated with kitchen and dining room operations, with or without reasonable accommodation.

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous experience in food service, restaurants, cafeterias, or institutional kitchens.
• Experience with dishwashing, cleaning, or kitchen sanitation.
• Familiarity with food handling and safe food storage practices.
• Previous experience in an assisted living, nursing home, or healthcare setting.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.
