Overview Join to apply for the Environmental Svs Associate role at Dignity Health . As our Environmental Services Technician, you’ll keep patient rooms and all hospital areas clean and sanitized, protecting everyone from potential illness or injury due to infectious diseases or other hazards. Responsibilities Every day you will perform routine cleaning tasks such as sweeping, mopping, and dusting. You will also use specialized equipment and techniques to further sanitize our facility, learn and adhere to proper disposal techniques for biohazard materials, refill dispensers, and deliver clean linens. Cleans assigned areas according to established standards and a 12‑step cleaning process. Sweeps, dusts, vacuums, and mops in assigned areas using automatic scrub/buffer equipment as needed. Arranges and/or moves furniture in patient and non‑patient care areas according to room setup. Ensures equipment is working prior to use. Documents and reports items/equipment needing repair and hazardous conditions requiring correction. Stocks supply cart with proper equipment needed to complete assigned shift. Qualifications Required Basic education to understand and follow standard practice or oral and written instructions, able to speak, read and write English, use simple arithmetic, keep simple records, or use simple office machines. Fire Safety training within 90 days. Preferred High School Graduate/GED and previous 6 months janitorial experience in a healthcare environment.
