Production Packaging Associate - Night Shift

We are seeking a dedicated Production Packaging Associate for our night shift. This entry-level position is crucial for ensuring proper packaging of materials and finished products. You will be responsible for loading, moving materials, and operating packaging equipment while adhering to Good Manufacturing Practices.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate safe work practices by wearing the correct PPE and following safety policies.
• Maintain punctuality and adhere to the work schedule.
• Exhibit a teamwork attitude by working effectively with others.
• Follow company General Manufacturing Policies.
• Keep the work area neat, clean, and organized.
• Monitor conveyor belts and clear bottle jams from lines.
• Pick up dropped bottles from the production floor and place them into designated bins.
• Place discarded bottles into the grinder, if applicable.
• Inspect the quality of bottles during production, packaging, and labeling.
• Perform bottle inspections, such as drop tests for designated lines.
• Immediately escalate all bottle abnormalities, defects, and quality issues when found.
• Monitor supply levels of packaging materials and replenish as needed.
• Ensure correct labeling, bottle description, and packaging of products in accordance with specific customer requirements.
• Move finished goods to the designated area.
• Ensure efficient setup and organization of workstations. Maintain inventory levels and restock supplies as needed to facilitate smooth transitions between shifts.
• Perform other duties as assigned by management.
• Duties may vary by plant based on equipment and plant design.

Essential Skills

• Ability to stack materials, inspect machines, and perform shrink wrapping.
• Experience in pick and pack tasks and responsible packaging of materials and finished products.
• Ability to load, move material, and operate packaging equipment.
• Familiarity with conveyor systems and quality control processes.
• Skill in labeling and ensuring product compliance with customer requirements.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Attention to detail is crucial for maintaining a safe work environment.
• Must be capable of working in a loud environment around machinery.
• Experience in a manufacturing environment is beneficial.

Work Environment

This position is in a manufacturing environment that produces one-gallon plastic milk jugs and containers. The work involves being around loud machinery, requiring the use of PPE, including earplugs. The role demands a focus on safety and attention to detail. The shift follows a 2 on / 2 off / 3 on / 2 off / 2 on / 3 off schedule, from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM.

This is a Permanent position based out of Phoenix, AZ.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $20.00/hr.
