Software Engineer in Test

Client is seeking a Software Engineer in Test to join our dynamic team in Westlake, TX. This role is ideal for a hands-on tester with a development background who will design and implement automation frameworks, test APIs, and leverage Java and AWS Cloud expertise to ensure system quality and performance. Key Responsibilities Lead the development and implementation of automation frameworks from scratch. Conduct extensive API testing to ensure seamless integration. Develop and execute tests using Java and the RestAssured framework. Validate database integrity and accuracy using SQL. Apply AWS Cloud knowledge to testing and cloud-based solutions. Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality software solutions. Continuously identify opportunities for test process improvement and automation. Required Skills & Experience 5+ years of experience in API testing and automation. Hands-on Java development experience; preferably someone who tests their own code or has a development background. Practical experience with the Rest Assured framework for API automation. Experience working in a DevOps environment, including CI/CD pipelines. Strong knowledge of SQL for database validation. Familiarity with AWS Cloud environments and services. Strong problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills. Ability to work independently and collaboratively to achieve high-quality outcomes. Preferred Qualifications Experience building automation frameworks from scratch. Prior exposure to Agile methodologies and collaborative software development.
