About the Role

\n

APX Life Sciences is exclusively partnered with a rapidly growing global Imaging CRO (iCRO) that is expanding its US Operations team following significant recent growth and the award of several new clinical trial programmes.

\n

\n

We are seeking an experienced Imaging Specialist to provide technical imaging expertise across global clinical trials, working closely with sponsors, investigative sites, Project Management and wider operational teams.

\n

\n

This is a hands-on position sitting at the intersection of medical imaging and clinical trial operations, with responsibility for supporting image quality, protocol compliance, site technical activities and the successful delivery of imaging components across clinical studies.

\n

The position is fully remote within the Central or Eastern US, allowing appropriate working-hour overlap with colleagues across the US, UK and Europe. Occasional travel may be required for study-specific site training, although this is not a travel-heavy position.

Key Responsibilities

\n

\n
• Perform image quality review and image processing, ensuring technical adequacy and compliance with study-specific imaging protocols.
\n
• Review incoming imaging data and identify, raise and resolve image quality and protocol-related queries with investigative sites.
\n
• Support the development and implementation of study-specific imaging protocols and procedures.
\n
• Conduct and support site technical assessments, qualification and feasibility activities.
\n
• Deliver remote and occasional on-site image acquisition and technical training to participating sites.
\n
• Work directly with site imaging personnel to troubleshoot technical issues and improve image quality and compliance.
\n
• Provide imaging expertise and ongoing support to Project Managers and internal study teams.
\n
• Support independent reader evaluations, including reader QC and associated query management.
\n
• Assist with image preparation, de-identification and the preparation of imaging data for client, regulatory and medical review.
\n
• Participate in project meetings and provide updates relating to imaging QC, site performance and outstanding technical issues.
\n

Experience & Qualifications

\n

\n
• 2+ years of relevant medical imaging experience, with clinical trial experience strongly preferred.
\n
• Previous experience within an Imaging CRO, central imaging vendor or clinical trial imaging environment would be highly advantageous.
\n
• Practical experience across one or more imaging modalities, such as MRI, CT, X-ray and/or DEXA.
\n
• DEXA experience is particularly desirable for some of the newly awarded studies.
\n
• Imaging Sciences, Radiologic Technology or another relevant healthcare/imaging qualification preferred.
\n
• Registered/Board Certified Imaging Technologist or equivalent professional credentials are advantageous.
\n
• Understanding of clinical trial imaging workflows, imaging protocols and image quality requirements.
\n
• Previous experience working directly with investigative sites, sponsors and/or cross-functional study teams would be beneficial.
