Full Time | Competitive Pay - Up to $65/hr based on experience YOUR IMPACT The Special Education Teacher will support elementary students with behavioral needs in the TLC classroom at a public elementary school. The ideal candidate will have strong behavioral experience and be comfortable working with students who require additional behavioral and academic support. Responsibilities include writing and implementing IEPs, developing and running individualized programs, monitoring student progress, and collaborating with paraeducators, teachers, related service providers, and families to support students’ academic, behavioral, and social-emotional growth. WHAT YOU NEED:
- Valid Massachusetts Teaching License with Special Education (Moderate Disabilities) certification
- Eligible to teach in MA through DESE
- Bachelor's degree required; Master's preferred
- Experience designing & delivering individualized instruction for students with disabilities
- Knowledge of MA Special Education laws and IEP development
- Experience supervising classrooms with support staff (paras)
- Familiarity with MCASAlt. assessments
- Comfort with students in behavioral/socialemotional programs and life skills/developmental delay programs
