Key Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive patient assessments focusing on physiologic, psychosocial, and cognitive status.
• Implement patient care in a knowledgeable and consistent manner in adherence to established procedures, policies, and care plans.
• Identify patient and family learning needs and deliver patient education in accordance with policy and care plans.
• Document accurately in the patient chart via electronic medical records and/or paper processes per policy and regulatory requirements.
• Demonstrate appropriate delegation of patient care activities and effectively supervise assigned coworkers, with potential to serve in a Charge Nurse capacity.
• Maintain compliance with organizational policies, safety requirements, and infection control standards including proper use of equipment and safe lifting practices.

Required Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing.
• Ability to comfortably manage a 5:1 patient ratio.
• Pediatric nursing experience required.
• Proficiency with electronic medical records (EMR) documentation.
• Strong critical thinking, organization, and priority-setting skills.

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Prior experience functioning in a Charge Nurse role, including patient assignment delegation and staff coordination.
• Demonstrated commitment to professional development through continuing education, seminars, or professional affiliations.
