Position Location: We're all about flexibility! This will be a hybrid role based out of our corporate headquarters in Lakeville, MA with Mondays and Fridays remote. The successful candidate will have a unique opportunity to apply strategic vision and deep technical expertise to define the technology platforms that enable our Cooperative to operate efficiently and accelerate the delivery of digital innovation. This highly collaborative role is essential to ensuring a business and customer-first approach to designing the platforms, capabilities, and architecture that support sustainable growth, agility, and operational excellence. As Ocean Spray continues its modernization journey through cloud ERP, data modernization, digital core initiatives, and emerging AI capabilities, this role will be instrumental in shaping the technology backbone that underpins our enterprise success.

We are seeking a leader with a strong solution architecture foundation who has progressed into enterprise architecture roles and can confidently guide the organization through complex change. This individual understands that applications, infrastructure, cloud, security, compliance, data, and AI are not separate disciplines, but interconnected elements of well-designed technology solutions that enhance the experience of both internal and external stakeholders. The ideal candidate will have experience leading large-scale transformations and translating business and IT strategy into actionable technology roadmaps. They will lead the design of enterprise capabilities, integration patterns, AI-enabled platforms, and foundational technologies while establishing the governance, security, and architectural standards needed to scale digital and AI solutions across the Cooperative. Working closely with partners across IT and the business, this leader will continually evolve Ocean Spray's technical landscape to enable innovation, resilience, and long-term business value.

A Day in the Life...

ENTERPRISE ARCHITECTURE & STRATEGY

• Set the technology blueprint and strategy for platforms, linked to our business strategies and product initiatives, including the integration layers (API/ETL) between all in-house and SaaS applications, workflows and customization, extensions, and all customer/consumer facing applications
• Define enterprise-wide reference architectures and roadmaps spanning ERP, integration, data, digital, and cloud platforms
• Translate business capability roadmaps into technology capability models and architectural guardrails
• Ensure alignment between enterprise architecture, security, data governance, and infrastructure strategies
• Own the definition and lifecycle management of architectural standards, including intentional retirement of legacy patterns
• Define the target-state AI platform architecture and roadmap across enterprise platforms, including SAP BTP, SAP AI Core and Joule, Microsoft Azure AI services, Copilot Studio, and other approved AI capabilities
• Establish reusable reference architectures and patterns for generative AI, predictive machine learning, retrieval-augmented generation (RAG), conversational analytics, intelligent agents, and cross-application agent orchestration
• Architect the AI foundation required to move solutions from proof of concept to production
• Guide modernization initiatives using AI-enabled development method
• Maintain current on new technologies and IT management practices and provide direction on what emerging IT technologies and methods should be introduced for maximum business value
• Works toward a balance between growing the agility required to achieve digital business objectives and ensuring the core IT functions are reliable, stable, and efficient

DECISION AUTHORITY & GOVERNANCE

• Lead the establishment of technology standards, principles, and guardrails for enterprise platforms, tools, applications, data, integration, and emerging technologies, including AI
• Spearhead technology choices and architectural trade-offs that balance business objectives, financial outcomes, risk, security, scalability, and long-term maintainability
• Establish and lead architecture review and governance processes, guiding enterprise, solution, integration, data, and AI-related architecture decisions through an architecture review board in partnership with project and product teams
• Partner with engineering and delivery teams to establish software engineering standards, code review practices, and modern software delivery processes supported by governed tools, security controls, automation, and AI-enabled capabilities
• Define architecture review criteria, evaluation frameworks, monitoring requirements, and change-control processes for enterprise technology solutions to ensure quality, security, compliance, and operational resilience
• Serve as the final decision authority for enterprise architecture standards, platform strategies, and cross-functional architectural decisions across the technology landscape

PARTNERING & INFLUENCE

• Work closely with the Product Partners & PMO, to review IT roadmaps and assess underlying architectural needs and considerations
• Work with design and delivery teams to ensure architectural considerations, IT standards and appropriate tools are being applied in technical specifications and overall IT delivery approach
• Act as a trusted advisor to senior business and IT leaders on technology strategy, investments, and risk

What We Are Looking For:

Required

• Demonstrated experience defining enterprise architecture operating models, including governance, decision rights, and engagement models
• Strong capability-based architecture experience (business capabilities → technology enablement)
• Experience balancing enterprise standards with team autonomy in scaled agile environments
• Proven ability to assess architectural risk and technical debt and communicate trade-offs at an executive level
• Experience within transformational (ERP-like) programs with the leading, building and execution of technology architecture and integration success during transition and steady state
• 4-5 years of data and analytics tools and the design and integration of this architecture
• Exposure to and experience of digital commerce solutions
• Deep understanding of the full software development life cycle (SDLC), including coding standards, code review, source control, build, test, deploy, and operations
• Demonstrated experience designing and governing enterprise AI or machine learning platforms
• Hands-on architecture experience with generative AI and agentic solution patterns
• Working knowledge of Responsible AI and AI security practices, including access controls, sensitive-data protection, auditability, content safety, intellectual property considerations, and third-party model or service risk
• Experience with security frameworks and standards such as OAuth2, OIDC, SAML
• Demonstrated ability to work effectively with others within a complex, cross-functional and fast paced organization with globally distributed teams
• Strong written and visual communication skills, including creation of architecture views for executive and delivery audiences
• General working experience of both waterfall and Agile/ Scrum methodology

Preferred

• MS in computer science or related field or equivalent relevant experience, with a focus in 3 of the following areas - Software Engineering, ERP, Data & Analytics & AI
• 10+ years of experience with progressive leadership responsibilities including leading development and infrastructure for SAP and other enterprise technologies. Hands-on experience with application development in SAP ABAP & BTP as well as SAP BASIS preferred
• 2 or more years’ experience with integration platforms such as MuleSoft, Kubernetes, Azure API, Azure Functions, Graph, Kerberos
• 2 or more years of experience with cloud security, CI/CD tools
• Experience with container development and orchestration solutions (AKS)
• Architecture experience with SAP AI capabilities, such as SAP BTP, AI Core, Joule, Joule Studio, SAP Build, SAP Analytics Cloud conversational analytics, or SAP Business Data Cloud
• Architecture experience with Microsoft AI capabilities, such as Azure AI services, Azure OpenAI, Copilot Studio, Azure DevOps or GitHub, and enterprise identity and security services
• Experience with agent interoperability or orchestration patterns, including Model Context Protocol (MCP) and cross-application agents
• Experience modernizing legacy applications through AI-assisted discovery and software engineering

Education:

Bachelor's or University Degree (Required) Master's Degree (Preferred)

Annual Salary:

$147,200 - $184,000
