Electrical Construction Engineer (A&E Representative) - Semiconductor Construction

The Electrical Engineer serves as the A&E Representative supporting engineering and design oversight for electrical scopes during the construction phase of semiconductor facility projects. This role focuses on reviewing contractor deliverables, coordinating with multidisciplinary teams, and ensuring electrical systems are constructed in accordance with design intent, client standards, and project requirements. The Electrical Engineer works closely with the design team, contractor, and client stakeholders to resolve issues, support field coordination, and maintain alignment throughout the construction lifecycle. Minimum Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related technical discipline, or related field experience Experience supporting electrical engineering and design efforts during construction-phase projects Familiarity with semiconductor, cleanroom, or industrial facility environments preferred Strong understanding of electrical design principles, systems, and construction practices Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and technical documents Strong communication and coordination skills across multidisciplinary teams Ability to manage multiple priorities and support project deliverables in a fast-paced environment Duties and Responsibilities Provide engineering and design support for electrical systems during the construction phase of semiconductor facility projects Report to the discipline lead for assignment of scope and coordination of deliverables Review Requests for Information (RFIs) for technical accuracy and alignment with design intent Review contractor submittals for compliance with project requirements, specifications, and client standards Perform site walks to verify as-built conditions and confirm installation aligns with approved design documents Coordinate and communicate with Owner, contractor, subcontractors, and suppliers to support issue resolution and project execution Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of engineers, architects, and project stakeholders Participate in coordination meetings and design review sessions, providing technical input and resolving comments Support adherence to client design standards, procedures, and project schedules Participate in coordination and workgroup meetings as required, including multiple weekly meetings, providing active engagement and technical contribution Participate in review meetings and adjudicate design comments in coordination with the client, contractor, and internal design team Support pre-review and formal review cycles, ensuring alignment and resolution of outstanding design items Execute deliverables as assigned by the discipline lead, ensuring accuracy and completeness Support onboarding and orientation processes, proactively integrating into the project team and workflows Ensure all deliverables are completed on schedule; proactively communicate and elevate risks or delays to project leadership Coordinate with the discipline lead to confirm required software tools and design platforms Verify compatibility of software utilized to ensure efficient coordination and high-quality deliverables Provide weekly updates on task progress, open items, and constraints to project leadership Maintain awareness of outstanding issues and proactively work to resolve and communicate status updates Support tracking of effort and progress against project expectations Maintain consistent communication with project management and discipline leadership Adhere to project quality expectations and established quality control procedures Ensure deliverables meet required standards and align with project documentation and coordination protocols Benefits Offered 401(k) retirement plan with 4% KALCON match when an employee contributes at least 5% 15 days of paid time off Reimbursement for professional licenses and certifications Submission Requirements List of all Educational Achievements List of all Professional Licenses or Certificates List of Awards Received Detailed Employment History with each company including: Name & Contact Information of the firm or agency Start Date and End Date (Month & Year) Positions Held Equal Opportunity Employment At KALCON we are committed to creating an inclusive, diverse, and equitable workplace where every individual is respected and valued.
