Commercial and Product Counsel [Contract - 8 months]

Overview

Commercial and Product Counsel (Contract — 8 months) for an Enterprise SaaS company. Remote, 8-month contract with a base pay range and hourly rate described below.

We are seeking a commercial and product counsel to support a funding-backed Enterprise SaaS company. The role is split approximately 70% on drafting, redlining, and negotiating medium to high complexity SaaS enterprise sales agreements with customers, and 30% on procurement and vendor contracts, and product and privacy counseling.

Responsibilities

• Draft, redline, and negotiate medium to high complexity SaaS enterprise sales agreements with customers (primarily with sales teams).
• Handle procurement and vendor contracts, and provide product and privacy counseling.
• Support a fast-paced, tech-focused startup environment with business-minded and solution-oriented counsel.

Qualifications

• Experience: 8+ Years
• Must have expertise working directly with sales teams on enterprise SaaS sales contracts
• Detail-oriented with the ability to quickly draft and review commercial agreements
• Experience with SaaS Enterprise Sales agreements, SaaS agreements, Marketing agreements, Event agreements, Consulting agreements, and Partnership agreements

Product and Data Privacy Counseling

• Provide legal guidance to product teams throughout the product development lifecycle and review/negotiate contracts related to product development (technology agreements, licensing, partnerships)
• Advise on regulatory compliance matters related to product design, labeling, advertising, and consumer protection
• Support privacy and data protection considerations, including GDPR and CCPA compliance
• Assist in managing product-related disputes and litigation with external counsel when necessary

Base pay range: $200,000.00/yr - $240,000.00/yr. Pay rate: $100 - $120 / hour ($200,000 - $240,000 annualized).
