Job Description
Exciting Opportunity for Patient Care Technicians - Staffing Float

Join a dynamic team as a Patient Care Technician! This engaging Staffing Float position offers you the chance to make a real difference in patient care within an LTAC/long-term acute care environment. If you are passionate about helping others and possess the required skills, we want to hear from you!

Key Responsibilities:
- Support patient care within various units based on facility needs
- Assist with ambulation, feeding, turning/repositioning, and linen changes
- Perform vital sign checks, 12-lead EKGs, finger sticks, and sterile specimen collections
- Provide routine catheter care and collect urine/stool specimens
- Ensure safe patient transfers and transport, while adhering to infection-control practices
- Maintain accurate labeling and transport of specimens
- Recognize and report abnormal vital signs promptly

Requirements:
- Minimum of 2 years of Patient Care Technician experience
- Acute care experience required
- Preferred experience in a teaching hospital and dialysis
- Current BLS, PCT certification, and Basic EKG exam required
- CPCT/A certification is preferred
- Experience with Cerner charting system is required
- Comfort in tele monitoring is essential

Position Details:
- Shift: Day 3x12-Hour (07:00 - 19:30)
- Staffing Float/Staff Pool position
- Specific unit assignments based on facility needs
- Rotating holiday schedule with no requests for time off during peak days

Additional Information:
- Must be detail-oriented and reliable; zero tolerance for tardiness or unexcused absences
- Strong focus on teamwork and interdisciplinary support
