Travel Cardiac Device RN (Electrophysiology)

We are seeking an experienced Cardiac Device Registered Nurse to support a nationally recognized cardiovascular program. This position is ideal for an RN with experience managing implantable cardiac devices and collaborating with electrophysiologists in a high-acuity cardiac environment.

The Device RN will provide comprehensive care for patients with pacemakers, ICDs, CRT devices, and implantable loop recorders by performing device interrogations, programming support, troubleshooting, patient education, and clinical documentation.

Must Haves

• Active New Jersey Registered Nurse (RN) License
• Associate Degree in Nursing (BSN preferred)
• Minimum 1–3 years of Cardiac or Critical Care RN experience
• Current BLS Certification
• Current ACLS Certification
• IV Certification
• Arrhythmia Certification
• Experience performing or assisting with cardiac device interrogations
• Knowledge of Pacemakers, ICDs, CRT Devices, and Implantable Loop Recorders
• Experience reviewing device transmissions and identifying arrhythmias or device malfunctions
• Strong cardiac rhythm interpretation skills
• Experience documenting in an Electronic Medical Record (EMR)
• Excellent patient education and communication skills

Nice to Have

• Cath Lab experience
• Electrophysiology (EP) Lab experience
• RCES (Registered Cardiovascular Electrophysiology Specialist) Certification
• Experience with remote cardiac device monitoring platforms
• Previous structural heart or cardiovascular specialty experience
• Previous travel nursing experience
• BSN Degree
• Experience working directly with Electrophysiologists or Cardiologists

Responsibilities

• Perform in-person and remote cardiac device interrogations
• Evaluate pacemakers, ICDs, CRT devices, and loop recorders
• Review device reports to identify arrhythmias, device abnormalities, and changes in patient condition
• Assist physicians with device programming and optimization
• Educate patients and families regarding device function, precautions, and follow-up care
• Collaborate with Electrophysiologists, Cardiologists, and multidisciplinary care teams
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation within the electronic medical record
• Assist in developing treatment recommendations based on device findings
• Ensure compliance with hospital policies and regulatory standards
