Laser Machine Operator

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Laser Operator that is a dedicated, detail orientated and self-motivated as this position will be working with limited supervision. Experience with running fiber optic laser cutters is a plus. You will have good computer and math skills, mechanical aptitude, and attention to detail. Duties will include working with other laser cutting operators to complete jobs on time.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Operate a Mazak Fiber optic & C02 Laser with Automation

• Conduct laser material handling - Load & unload steel

• Assist in part break out

• Communicate Laser status to Production Planner & Supervisor

• Processing internal cut orders for manufacturing and engineering departments

• Work in a safe manner and enforce all safety policies

• Checking parts for quality and accuracy

• Assist other departments as needed

• Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements

• Solid computer skills

• Strong math skills (shop math)

• Ability to use a tape measure in both metric and inches/feet

Education and Experience

• 1 year of manufacturing experience

• 1 year of laser operator experience

• Ability to learn to troubleshoot issues with the laser

• Able to read blueprints

• Crane and forklift experience preferred
