Pride Health is hiring a Phlebotomist II - Float to support our client's healthcare facility in Altamonte Springs FL 32701 Job Details: Schedule: 6:00 am-3:00 pm Tues Friday 6:00 am 12:30 pm Location: Altamonte Springs FL 32701 Job Type: Local Contract Contract Length: 6 Months+ Pay Range: $22.71-$24.41/hr Pay offered is based on experience, expertise, credentialing, and education.

Key Responsibilities:

• Experience doing blood draws, labeling specimens, centrifuging specimens, recording maintenance data and decontamination, updating patient information, etc.
• Collects and stores specimens in accordance with established procedures. Properly explain in a clear but courteous manner the process of the venipuncture (blood drawing) and other specimen collection (ex. urine or fecal) as required.
• Demonstrate technique/s using straight needles and/or butterfly needles. Fully understand all the physicians' orders. Matches laboratory requisition forms to specimen tubes. Label, centrifuge, split, and freeze specimens as required by test order.
• Check all test requisitions or computer labels against the script to ensure 100% correctness.
• Package specimens for transport.
• Stores specimens at the required temperature and place them.

Qualifications:

• A High School Diploma or GED is required.
• A minimum of 3-4 years of phlebotomy experience is required.
