As a C++ Software Developer, you will contribute to the design and development of next‑generation raster analytics that power ArcGIS across desktop and cloud environments. Responsibilities Transform cutting‑edge research and advanced concepts into high-performance, scalable analytical tools across key GIS domains, including: Spatial modeling and suitability analysis Terrain and surface analysis (such as intervisibility, geomorphometric) Pattern and density analysis Statistical analysis Hydrologic analysis Multidimensional scientific data modeling and analysis Partner with a collaborative team to conceptualize, design, and deliver innovative GIS solutions that address complex real‑world challenges Architect and implement robust software components using industry‑standard design principles and best practices Proactively identify, analyze, and resolve software defects and performance bottlenecks through automated testing and optimization Requirements 2+ years of demonstrated experience in C++ software development Strong understanding of algorithms, data structures, and design patterns Excellent problem‑solving, design, development, and debugging skills Familiarity with distributed systems, parallel processing, and GPU‑accelerated computing Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related STEM field Recommended Qualifications Experience with C# and WPF application development Knowledge of Agile development methodologies and test‑driven development (TDD) practices Experience with GIS, raster analysis, and spatial analysis concepts Strong foundation in mathematics and science, with experience in scientific computing for raster analysis Master's degree or Ph.D. in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related STEM field Total Rewards Esri's competitive total rewards strategy includes industry‑leading health and welfare benefits: medical, dental, vision, basic and supplemental life insurance for employees (and their families), 401(k) and profit‑sharing programs, minimum accrual of 80 hours of vacation leave, twelve paid holidays throughout the calendar year, and opportunities for personal and professional growth.
