Assistant Kitchen Manager

• Supervise daily kitchen operations, including food production, inventory management, and food safety compliance.
• Manage staff scheduling, training, and performance evaluations to foster a motivated and efficient team.
• Oversee catering events, ensuring seamless execution.
• Maintain strict inventory control to minimize waste while ensuring the availability of ingredients for all menu items.
• Enforce food handling and safety regulations diligently across all kitchen activities.
• Collaborate with management on budgeting, cost control, and procurement strategies to optimize operational efficiency.
• Lead by example in kitchen cleanliness, organization, and professionalism at all times.

Experience

• Extensive culinary and high-volume experience with a strong background in fine dining environments.
• Proven supervising experience managing kitchen staff in a fast-paced setting.
• Demonstrated expertise in food production, menu planning, and food service management.
• Prior event experience with skills in catering coordination and event execution.
• Familiarity with inventory management systems and inventory control procedures.
• Strong leadership abilities with excellent team management skills; capable of motivating diverse teams.
• Knowledge of food safety standards and regulations; certifications such as ServSafe are preferred.
• Experience in restaurant or hospitality management roles is highly desirable.
• Skilled in food handling techniques, cooking methods, and kitchen operations across various cuisines.
• Ability to oversee shift management efficiently while maintaining high standards of service quality.
