Manufacturing Engineer

Our client, a leading organization in the computer component manufacturing sector, is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to join their team. As a Manufacturing Engineer, you will be part of the engineering department supporting production operations. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and a proactive approach which will align successfully in the organization.

Ideal candidate will have Bachelor's degree in Engineering and possess 0-3 years' experience.

Job Title: Manufacturing Engineer

Location: Hillsboro, OR

Position Type: Contract to Hire

Pay Range: $35-$40/hour + Benefits

Hours: The position will start on 1st shift for the first 3 months for onboarding and training (8 hours/M-F), then transition to a 3rd shift schedule. The shift is structured as 12-hour days, 3-4 days per week (every other Saturday).

What's the Job?

• Operate and maintain specialized processing equipment in a clean room environment.

• Perform tool owner/equipment sustaining, preventative maintenance, and troubleshooting.

• Conduct engineering data analysis, carry out experiments, and perform basic scripting and SQL queries.

• Support factory operations through frequent problem solving and developing strategies to prevent future issues.

• Participate in safety expectations and contribute to a positive safety culture.

What's Needed?

• Must possess a BS degree in Engineering, Chemistry, or Physics with industry-related experience.

• Proficiency with computers and general software programs such as Microsoft Office.

• Ability to lift loads up to 25 lbs regularly.

• Flexibility with shift schedules, including working later or earlier if required.

• Willingness to work in a clean room environment while wearing specialized protective gear.
