Sinclair is hiring a Manager, AI Enablement to help identify, understand, and clearly frame the operational problems facing our teams and the business. This highly visible role works across every business function to surface AI opportunities and regularly informs C-suite discussions.
AI Enablement owns the AI opportunity pipeline at Sinclair: capturing, evaluating, and prioritizing opportunities across the business, and deciding which become approved-for-build projects. This role helps run that pipeline day to day and translates approved-for-build opportunities to the AI Product and Delivery team. Through ongoing conversations with employees and leaders, you will uncover pain points, examine processes closely, and contribute your judgment on whether an opportunity calls for AI, process improvement, or another solution. We do not layer AI on top of broken processes.
We are looking for a thoughtful, natural connector who listens closely, recognizes patterns in what people say and do, and sees potential value before the numbers are fully developed. You do not need to be a technical AI expert. You do need to be able to walk into any part of the business with curiosity, ask great questions, earn trust quickly, and leave with a sharper picture of what is possible.
What You Will Do
Business Discovery and Relationship Building
Build and maintain trusted relationships with employees and leaders across departments to surface opportunities and support AI adoption.
Engage with business teams across the organization to observe how work happens, ask questions that surface friction and inefficiency, and identify problems worth solving.
Understand the problem first, then examine the underlying process. Only when the process is sound should the question of AI come into play.
Pipeline, Prioritization, and Translation
Manage the intake path for AI-related opportunities from every source: the Champions Program, direct conversations, business partner requests, and escalations. Keep requesters informed of status and next steps.
Help run the AI Enablement opportunity pipeline: capture, evaluate, prioritize, and scope opportunities across Sinclair, and support the decision on which are ready to hand off as approved-for-build projects to AI Product and Delivery.
Partner on business case development for opportunities as they move through the pipeline.
Translate approved-for-build opportunities into clear project briefs that carry the problem framing, the current state, open decisions, and the people involved, with sources for the facts so the receiving team can build with confidence.
Stay connected through evaluation, build, and delivery as an ongoing point of contact for the business partner. Answer questions, correct misunderstandings, maintain momentum, and keep the work anchored to the original business need.
Partner with AI Product and Delivery through the handoff and into build, so the problem framing, current state, and stakeholder context stay with the work as it moves to the technical partners who build it.
Partner with department leaders during opportunity evaluation, so technology fit, feasibility, and solution design shape an opportunity before it becomes an approved project.
AI Enablement and Adoption
Help run the ChatGPT Champions Program: working sessions, ongoing engagement, recognition, follow-through, and connecting champions with the resources and support they need.
Help employees understand practical ways AI can support their work by sharing successful use cases and supporting training, demonstrations, and other enablement activities.
Use AI actively in your own work and build working fluency through experimentation. You are not expected to be an expert; you are learning alongside our employees, and that shared experience is what makes you credible with them.
Stay current on what available AI tools can and cannot do so you can recognize relevant opportunities and provide practical guidance. Over time, use that fluency to help others prototype and improve workflows.
Reporting, Impact, and Communications
Analyze AI usage and engagement data, identify trends, and work with business teams to document time savings, productivity improvements, and other evidence of impact.
Prepare and contribute to briefings, reports, dashboards, Quarterly Business Reviews, and monthly updates that show what the AI Enablement function is finding, where value is showing up, and where the portfolio is headed.
Surface meaningful workflow patterns, employee stories, and progress through the Champions Dashboard and other leadership reporting.
Partner with Corporate Communications by providing the content, context, and examples needed to develop clear and accurate employee-facing messaging about AI initiatives.
What Success Looks Like in the First Six Months
You have built trusted relationships with champions and key business leaders across every division at Sinclair, and you are the person they call when something on their team is worth a closer look.
You have moved a first set of opportunities through the pipeline to approved-for-build, with clean project briefs handed off to the AI Product and Delivery team.
You have contributed to a Quarterly Business Review and a monthly leadership update, with material that showed the AI Enablement function's findings and where value is showing up.
You have built at least one AI agent or small solution to strengthen your own work, and you use AI actively enough to speak credibly with the champions you support.
You have supported the Champions Program's operating rhythm through multiple working sessions, and you have been the ongoing point of contact for at least one project moving through build.
Who You Are
Bachelor's degree in Business, Communications, Technology, Marketing, Human Resources, or a related field.
Minimum of four years of professional experience within a large, complex organization.
Intellectual curiosity that keeps you learning, questioning, and connecting ideas.
Comfort with ambiguity, and a willingness to shape unclear problems rather than wait for them to clarify.
Track record of building trusted relationships across functions and levels, from individual contributors to senior leaders.
Strong writing and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain unfamiliar or complex ideas clearly.
Strong project-management and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple initiatives and stakeholders without dropping threads.
Proficiency in Excel and general data literacy, including the ability to organize data, identify trends, and explain the story behind the information.
Understanding of how business operations translate into value. You do not need to build financial models.
Comfort learning new technology and developing fluency independently.
Preferred
Foundational familiarity with generative AI tools such as ChatGPT, Claude, or similar tools, along with a working sense of what they can and cannot do.
Experience supporting a champions network, community of practice, peer adoption program, or similar engagement model.
Experience with technology adoption, organizational change, process improvement, or cross-functional program work.
Prior experience in broadcast, media, or a similarly distributed, multi-site organization.
Experience with opportunity discovery, intake and triage, or project pipeline management.
This position is on site in Hunt Valley, MD. Candidates must be local or willing to commute.

The base salary compensation range for this role is $105,000 to $135,000. Final compensation for this role will be determined by various factors such as a candidates' relevant work experience, skills, certifications, and geographic location. Full time positions are eligible for benefits that include participation in a retirement plan, life and disability insurance, health, dental and vision plans, flexible spending accounts, sick leave, vacation time, personal time, parental leave and employee stock purchase plan.
