What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and members of the public while carrying out site-specific procedures, access-control requirements, and emergency response activities at a government location.
• Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of buildings, parking areas, entrances, exterior grounds, and perimeter areas to help identify and report unusual activity, hazards, or maintenance concerns.
• Monitor access points and observe visitor activity in accordance with established procedures; verify credentials or authorization when assigned.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, contacting appropriate personnel and/or emergency responders as directed.
• Complete accurate activity logs, incident reports, and other required documentation, and communicate relevant information to Allied Universal supervision and site representatives.

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess at least one year of armed security-related, law enforcement, or military experience.
• Provide proof of a high school diploma or GED.
• Be at least 21 years of age.
• Guard card is required.
• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• The ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
