Production Sanitizer

Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated Production Sanitizer to join our manufacturing team. In this essential role, you will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and sanitation of production areas, equipment, and facilities to ensure compliance with safety and quality standards. The ideal candidate will have experience in industrial cleaning, custodial work, or food processing environments, demonstrating a strong commitment to safety protocols and hygiene practices. Responsibilities

• Perform routine cleaning and sanitation of production equipment, machinery, and work surfaces using appropriate chemical agents and cleaning techniques.
• Follow strict safety procedures when handling chemicals, including proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and respiratory protection.
• Maintain cleanliness of production areas in accordance with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and industry standards.
• Assist with the setup and breakdown of sanitation stations and ensure all cleaning supplies are stocked and properly stored.
• Document sanitation activities accurately in compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements.
• Participate in training sessions on chemical handling safety procedures and proper cleaning techniques.
• Support warehouse operations by assisting with heavy lifting, material movement, and general custodial tasks as needed.
• Collaborate with quality assurance teams to verify sanitation standards are met consistently.
• Ensure compliance with food safety regulations during cleaning processes in food production environments.
• Perform tasks in a timely and safe manner as outlined by management.
• Safe and responsible handling of cleaning chemicals
• Work near and operate moving equipment such as conveyor belts, batter machines, and breading machines.
• Ability to push and pull over 70 pounds.
• Roll and carry 40-to-50-pound high pressure hoses.
• Ability to climb up and down stairs/ladders.
• Maintain and report inventory as needed.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in industrial cleaning, custodial work, or food processing environments is preferred.
• Knowledge of chemical agent handling, sanitation procedures, and industrial cleaning techniques.
• Familiarity with GMP guidelines, chemical handling safety procedures, and PPE use.
• Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high hygiene standards.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to follow detailed instructions accurately.
• Prior warehouse or custodial experience is advantageous but not mandatory.
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
