Materials Yard Assistant | Product Assistant | Forklift Operator Full Time Manual Labor Pacific Beach, San Diego, CA, US Salary Range: $17.75 To $19.00 Hourly Southwest Boulder & Stone is a family‑owned landscape rock and supply company based in Southern California. We specialize in low‑maintenance, sustainable, and drought‑tolerant landscaping and building materials, supplying boulders, crushed stone, flagstone, cobble, and custom fabrication for architects, designers, contractors, and homeowners. Essential Job Functions: Meet & greet customers Assist customers with product selection and sales Load customer vehicles and verify accuracy Weigh trucks when needed Coordinate yard upkeep with the yard foreman Ensure proper tagging, weighing, and storage of products Keep scales and yard areas clean of debris Maintain tool cleanliness and product organization/visibility in yard Operate equipment safely using checklists Assist drivers when required Identify sales leads from customers Participate in progressive training on current and new product lines Complete product knowledge testing Job Requirements: Ability to lift and carry items weighing up to 50 pounds Prior forklift experience or certification is a plus Ability to work rotational weekends Operate forklifts and other heavy equipment, including loaders Learn material handling within a set timeline Negative drug test and/or background screening preferred Benefits: Health benefits including medical, dental, and vision plans, life insurance, and accident plans Paid vacation, sick pay, and paid holidays Eligibility for 401(k) program with up to 5% match after 1 year Employer covers 85% of employee‑only medical coverage Full‑time benefit‑eligible position Physical Requirements: Regular walking, standing, and bending; occasional kneeling and stooping Frequent lifting and carrying of materials up to 50 lbs, and periodic pushing/pulling Operating heavy equipment and forklifts, including driving and steering Exposure to outdoor work and extreme weather conditions Use of personal protective equipment as required #J-18808-Ljbffr
