Hospitalist

Benefis Health System, one of Montanas premier health systems, is seeking a board-certified Internal Medicine physician to join its hospitalist group in Great Falls. This swing shift role involves providing patient care in an academic community hospital setting and contributing to the education and supervision of internal medicine residents and medical students. Practice Info

• Academic community hospital with a Level II trauma designation.
• Designated private office space in the clinical decision unit area attached directly to the emergency department.
• Cover only 1 hospital with 349 acute care beds, admitting/consulting on medical, surgical, and obstetric patients 18 years of age and older.
• Great access to specialists with over 400 providers on medical staff representing 40 specialties.
• Epic EMR.
• No ICU coverage required (intensivists are in house 24/7).

Responsibilities

• Provide patient care as a hospitalist.
• Provide education and supervision to internal medicine residents and medical students.
• Oversight of Internal Medicine Residents on the admitter service.
• Day rounder assistance with admissions if needed.
• Admitting/consulting on medical, surgical, and obstetric patients 18 years of age and older.

Shift & Schedule

• Two dedicated swing shift physician each day.
• Working 7 am - 5 pm or 11 am - 9 pm.
• 7 on 7 off.
• Averaging 9 admissions per day.
