Schedule: Full-Time
Compensation: $45.00 - $52.00 per hour

A Pediatric Long-Term Care Facility in Brooklyn is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Physical Therapist (PT) to join its rehabilitation team. This position offers the opportunity to work with children who have complex medical, developmental, and physical needs while making a meaningful impact on their quality of life.

The ideal candidate will have experience working with pediatric patients and be passionate about helping children achieve their highest level of functional independence and mobility.
Responsibilities

• Evaluate pediatric residents and develop individualized treatment plans
• Provide physical therapy services to children with developmental, neurological, orthopedic, and medically complex conditions
• Assess mobility, strength, balance, posture, and functional abilities
• Establish realistic treatment goals and monitor progress toward those goals
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, occupational therapists, speech therapists, and family members to ensure coordinated care
• Educate families and caregivers on therapeutic exercises, positioning, mobility techniques, and equipment usage
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation in accordance with facility and regulatory requirements
• Participate in interdisciplinary care plan meetings and resident reviews
• Recommend adaptive equipment and assistive devices as needed

Qualifications

• Active New York State Physical Therapist license required
• Pediatric experience strongly preferred
• Experience in Pediatric Long-Term Care, Rehabilitation, School-Based Therapy, Early Intervention, or Pediatric Outpatient settings is a plus
• Strong clinical assessment and treatment planning skills
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
• Compassionate, patient-centered approach to care
