IT Support Specialist

Salary: $60,000 - 65,000 per year Requirements: We prefer an associate or bachelors degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a closely related discipline. We require 1–3 years of experience in IT support, system administration, or help desk roles. We need hands-on experience supporting Windows operating systems, Microsoft 365, and Active Directory. We expect a solid grasp of networking fundamentals such as TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPNs, and wireless connectivity. We value familiarity with cybersecurity best practices and endpoint protection platforms. We require proven ability to diagnose hardware, software, and network connectivity issues. We look for strong customer service skills and clear, professional communication. We need someone who can balance multiple priorities in a fast-moving manufacturing setting. We value strong analytical thinking, troubleshooting ability, and attention to detail. We need the ability to work both independently and as part of a cross-functional team. We prefer candidates with manufacturing experience. We prefer familiarity with NIST 800-171 or CMMC compliance requirements. We prefer experience with Microsoft Intune, Azure AD, or virtualization tools. We prefer industry certifications such as CompTIA A+, Network+, Security+, or Microsoft credentials. Responsibilities: We provide daily technical assistance to users across workstations, printers, mobile devices, and business applications. We install, configure, maintain, and resolve issues with Windows desktops, laptops, and connected peripherals. We support administration of Windows Server, Active Directory, Microsoft 365, and Group Policy environments. We manage onboarding and offboarding tasks, including account setup, access control, and equipment preparation. We monitor endpoint security, antivirus protections, and patching activities. We assist with cybersecurity and compliance efforts aligned with NIST 800-171, CMMC Level 2, and DFARS expectations. We troubleshoot network-related problems involving switches, firewalls, VPNs, wireless systems, and printers. We support backup operations and contribute to disaster recovery and business continuity planning. We document IT procedures, system settings, inventory, and troubleshooting steps. We escalate complex issues to the IT Manager when needed. We help deploy new hardware, software, and infrastructure enhancements. We maintain IT inventory, including computers, networking gear, software licenses, and related assets. We provide basic end-user training and guidance on cybersecurity awareness and company IT policies. We respond to help desk requests promptly and professionally. We stay informed about emerging technologies and evolving security risks.
