Senior Drilling Engineer

As the technical lead for drilling engineering on multiple concurrent projects, the full-time Senior Drilling Engineer will design, plan, and oversee drilling programs globally, ensuring safe and efficient data collection while collaborating closely with various science teams in a remote setting. Key responsibilities Lead the design and planning of complex exploration drilling programs, including hole design and drilling method selection Provide technical oversight during drilling operations, ensuring adherence to safety standards and data collection objectives Conduct post-program reviews and contribute to the development of drilling engineering standards and best practices Required qualifications Undergraduate or Master's degree in Mechanical, Petroleum, Civil, Geological, or Electrical Engineering with 7+ years of relevant experience Advanced knowledge of drilling techniques, particularly diamond core drilling operations across various geographies and commodities Proficiency in hole design and analysis software tools Strong understanding of procurement processes, including RFP development and contract administration Valid First Aid Certification (Level 3 or Wilderness First Aid preferred) and ability to work in remote locations
