Welder - 2nd Shift

Job description: Express Employment Professionals has partnered with a growing tractor parts manufacturing facility in Mendota, IL, and is currently hiring skilled Welders and Fabricators to join the expanding team on first and second shift! We're looking for individuals who are proficient in welding, have their own gear, and are ready to contribute to a fast-paced, quality-focused environment. This is a great long-term opportunity offering competitive pay, weekly paychecks, and comprehensive benefits! Pay: $23.68/HR Schedule: Train 1st shift 6-2:30p then 2nd shift: 2:30pm to 11:00pm. Job Duties & Requirements: MIG welding on tractor components. Read and interpret blueprints, shop orders, and technical drawings. Work from scale, rule, square, sample, or fixed gauges to measure and record results ensuring part conformance. Tack weld, selecting proper sequence of operations to avoid distortion or warping. Adjust welding settings such as current, voltage, and electrode size/type for proper fusion. Inspect parts for visible defects or damage; grind or file as needed to fit jigs. Perform welding operations in booths or on the assembly floor. Use hoists or hand trucks to move components or completed weldments. Responsible for first-piece inspection and in-process quality checks using inspection tools to maintain quality standards. Change wire reels, clean wire guides, and ensure all equipment is running properly. Report any equipment malfunctions or part-related issues to Supervisor. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area. Lift up to 50 lbs and use warehouse equipment to pull and check parts. Must wear and maintain all required PPE; report when new gear is needed. May be assigned to work any shift as determined by company needs. Perform other related tasks as assigned by management.
