Construction Craft Training Coordinator

Job Summary

Assists in the day-to-day management of Construction Apprenticeship, Apprenticeship application, enrollment, registration, tracking and scheduling of apprentices. The existence of proper checks and balances ensuring Black & Veatch is compliant with applicable rules and regulations for apprenticeship. Performs and/or oversees activities related to apprentice enrollment and apprentice ratios. Works under minimal supervision. Assists in the day-to-day management of Construction Apprenticeship, Apprenticeship application, enrollment, registration, tracking and scheduling of apprentices. Performs and/or oversees activities related to apprentice enrollment and apprentice ratios.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in daily management of Construction Apprenticeship Program operations.
• Oversee or perform apprentice enrollment, registration, and application processing.
• Track apprentice ratios, assignments, and compliance with program requirements.
• Assist in designing and developing training content, instructional materials, and process guides.
• Track and record training completion for staff and craft workers.
• Maintain a positive, safe, and productive learning environment.
• Ability to work independently in a time-sensitive environment.
• Confidentiality and respect for the privacy of employee record.

Management Responsibilities

Acts in capacity of a "lead person." Does not have management responsibility for the people to whom they provide work direction.

Minimum Qualifications

1+ years relevant experience required. Some related open shop and/or union experience preferred. All applicants must be able to complete pre-employment onboarding requirements (if selected) which may include any/all of the following: criminal/civil background check, drug screen, and motor vehicle records search, in compliance with any applicable laws and regulations.

Preferred Qualifications

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including PowerPoint, Word, and Excel.
• Experience using Learning Management Systems (LMS) for tracking, reporting, and delivering training.
• Ability to create, edit, and deliver digital training materials using presentation, document, and spreadsheet tools.
• Strong general computer literacy, including file management and digital communication.
• Ability to work, communicate, and deliver instruction effectively in both in‑person and remote environments.
• Knowledge of administrative policies and procedures
• Knowledge of time reporting policies and procedures
• Knowledge of electronic file storage system.
• Supervisory skills.

Work Environment/Physical Demands

Ability to work on site up to 12 hours per day, Limited travel off assigned site
